The bottom External link times out [1] so it is not possible to find any reference to the term Brittunculi. Nor do you mention the term in your article. Perhaps the article is incorrectly named. (I tried to wikify it.) KarenAnn 12:22, 7 July 2006 (UTC) The link works for me. Fanx (talk) 02:23, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge suggestion

[edit]

This article is more about the letters found at Vindolanda (Which is a very notable and interesting topic!) and has nothing much to do with the term "Brittuncli". -Ladybirdintheuk 10:56, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge, per Ladybirdintheuk statements above. Mattisse(talk) 15:21, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. "Brittunculi" is notable only as a word found in the Vindolanda Letters and belongs in that context. An article on the letters themselves, as distinct from the fort, might be valuable, but there's no need to have an article on a single word. --Nicknack009 17:46, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. The term is used in the Vindolanda tablets and therefore fits in well. Vignaux 21:11, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree and will take it on myself to make the change. Deb 16:41, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have re-redirected to Vindolanda tablets since Vindolanda itself does not mention Brittunculi. In general, I am opposed to the redirect as Brittunculi could just as easily redirect to Alternative words for British#Brittunculi but since I missed the merge poll I'll leave it with this modest re-redirect.
