Dokura-chan Trivia?

• When Haruko swings her guitar around and stars float around and she chants "Furi Kuri" to activate Amarao's N.O. it is a reference to the anime Dokuro-chan.
  • I am not sure about this. It seems quite obvious, but this series came out years before the Dokuro-chan anime did. Perhaps it it a reference to the manga.
  • I haven't personally seen Dokuro-chan, but everything I've read suggests it came out ~5 years after FLCL; Either it's a coincidence - or maybe they are both a reference to some other anime, any ideas?

Caption Change

I changed the caption on this (and most other episode) templates to an actual quote from the episode. As clever as we can be making up captions for the pictures, quotes from the show emphasize the themes more. --Gunblade ^(dicemus) 17:45, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Removal?

I say that the following section should be removed:

• There are numerous innuendos in this episode that are notable by freeze-frame action only:
  • Toward the beginning of the episode, Nandaba Kamon walks in on Naota and Haruko kissing (while Haruko's rear-end is clearly shown, showing she doesn't wear underwear) and his face begins to turn several different shades of color. He finally screams at the top of his lungs, and if the animation is paused, a small demonic / mischievous character can be seen darting around in the back molars of his mouth.
  • A small face can be seen inside Kitsurubami's mouth as she screams. This is assumed to be her tongue, but viewers tend to second guess themselves when they realize this "tongue" is also toting guns in its hands just like Kitsurubami is doing. Also, moments before this part when she first screams, if you do slow motion her breast falls out and reveals her nipple(12:31)
  • With a smile on her face, Kitsurubami kicks Amarao in the back of the head with her bare foot towards the end of the episode. (19:54)
  • During this episode, Kamon and Kitsurubami are seen thrashing about in the river. When this scene is put in slow-motion, it is obvious that Kitsurubami is actually pressing her exposed rear-end against Kamon with apparent pleasure.

1) How are any of these innuendos? 2) What is the purpose of this section?

It seems someone with a ton of time on (I presume) his hands decided to slow down the DVD for masturbatory reasons, because I see no reason for any of this information.

I would think the innuendo that last represents to be quite obvious. I mean, come on: a female pressing her exposed rear-end against Kamon? How is that not innuendo for sex? -- Gwern (contribs) 15:31, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, but Amarao getting kicked in the face isn't an innuendo, and neither are the mysterious figures randomly in people's mouths. The section says "There are numerous innuendos in this episode." It should say easter eggs or something like that instead of innuendos, because not all the examples it lists are innuendos. Also, some of it isn't worded very encyclopedia-like.
