Long plot

[edit]

@Rtkat3: Popped over here from X-Men: From the Ashes to copy a source & saw that you've added most of the plot details. MOS:PLOTLENGTH highlights that the various manual of styles suggest plot summaries between 200 and 700 words; WP:NOVELPLOT states 400 to 700 words are usually sufficient for a full-length work (short stories should be the shorter side) while MOS:TVPLOT states no more than 200 words per episode should ideally be presented in a table. In terms of a multi-series comics crossover, I think the main plot should be no more than 700 words with each tie-in reduced to under 200 words. Would you be okay taking the lead on reducing it? I haven't read this crossover so while I could take a shot, I'm assuming you have a better sense of what is most important to keep. Thanks! Sariel Xilo (talk) 22:12, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want it reduced, you need to point out parts that won't be needed. More issues in this storyline will be coming out this week including issue #3. --Rtkat3 (talk) 22:28, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Television season articles are at under 200 words per episode & novels (which typically have longer/dense plots than comics) are at under 700 so there's definitely a way to figure out how to keep a 5 issue story under 700 words. Just thought you might have thoughts on what plot details are most key! I'll take a look at some reviews and then go BOLD with trimming. Sariel Xilo (talk) 23:24, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
