Graduating in 2012

[edit]

I'm seeing this boilerplate in many of the individual character pages. We've seen the quote from Ryan Murphy that the cast is going to start graduating in 2012; there is also a quote floating about from Tina Cohen-Chang saying that Murphy has walked this back with the cast, though that hasn't made it onto many pages. Here, while Blaine has been a mentor with Kurt, being a "junior member" of the Warblers doesn't necessary mean that he's a junior; it could just be that he isn't a senior member (which may or may not require being a Senior at the Academy, though I suspect it does). Rachel started out at 16, so she had to be at least a sophomore in sesason one, junior this season, and senior next...if school works out as usual. (They've sort of trapped themselves, haven't they? How are any of the students going to get more than four years? Well, Brittany might take more than four years...)

Any thoughts on how we should handle this in the Wikipedia articles? I don't think what we have is working. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:48, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Significant Other

[edit]

If Blaine can't be Kurt's significant other on Kurt's page, then Kurt shouldn't be listed as Blaine's SO on this page.

I'd frankly go with it on both their pages, especially after "Original Song" and with the recent news that they'll be going to prom together later this season, but whatever we do, we should be consistent. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:07, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, BlueMoonset. There's currently a discussion about this on the glee task force page. We haven't quite reached a settlement on it, but you're free to add your input. HorrorFan121 (talk) 05:13, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think we may need to revisit this. From what Blaine says in "Born This Way", they're seeing each other every day after school and on weekends even though they're not at the same school any more. "We got each other" and "I'm never saying good-bye to you" together add up to each declaring it's a real relationship. (Oh yeah, and they're kissing, too.) At this point, having "HE IS NOT DATING KURT!!! ANY ADDITION OF THIS WILL BE REMOVED" as a comment in the article is no longer helping: they're a couple. They're boyfriends. Which is, to be blunt, significant. I'd be interested to hear why people think this relationship isn't significant in the same way the other listed Glee ones are. BlueMoonset (talk) 20:25, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've added it in on both pages. Most sites covering the show consider them to be dating, based on the, as you pointed out, quite obvious evidence that they are. I'll be keeping an eye on both pages and making sure people don't add that unnecessary tag back in. 205.215.249.235 (talk) 21:54, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
They are not at that stage yet. IP, how about posting RELIABLE site that say they are dating, no wikis, no BS sites..reliable. Currently the WP:Consensus of WP:GLEE is they are not dating. Get a consensus change, or your edits will be seen as disruptive. CTJF83 02:40, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think my point in starting this thread was that I felt we needed to review the "consensus", based on recent events on the show, and what the characters themselves have said thereon. "They are not at that stage yet" strikes me as a highly subjective judgment, and one that I disagree with.
Query: does this count as reliable? Darren Criss did a video interview with Billboard, and in Part 3 of 5, at about 6:39, Criss refers to Blaine and Kurt's relations this way: "we are in the honeymoon stages, and we are at the end of the season". You don't use "honeymoon stage" to describe a relationship unless it's significant. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:23, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it's clear that the consensus needs to be revisited at the very least. The actors who portray Blaine and Kurt have described the relationship as romantic in interviews such as the one above. There's also the preview for the next episode, where Finn says about seeing Kurt with Sam at a motel, "How could Kurt do this to Blaine?" suggesting that he's cheating - which would mean he and Blaine are dating. How is that not "encyclopedic" enough for people here? There were less obvious signs with other Glee couples which were immediately taken as signs they were dating. And semi-protecting for vandalism? Please. You know as well as I do that it's not "vandalism." 205.215.249.251 (talk) 21:32, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
How about you wait for the episode to air, before visiting this issue. CTJF83 22:04, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The page was not protected because of editors adding Kurt to the infobox. The page was protected because an editor was adding homophobic comments to the lead and body of the article consistently. In my opinion, Blaine and Kurt could eventually qualify as "significant others", but on-screen that hasn't been fully covered. They haven't really established their relationship like others have. HorrorFan121 (talk) 22:16, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, that makes sense. In other news, though, in addition to the above comment shown in the preview, there was also the admission about Quinn and Kurt that "Both of them have boyfriends!" So can we conclude now that Blaine and Kurt are clearly in a relationship, or at the very least revisit the consensus? 205.215.249.198 (talk) 04:10, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blaine and Finn's relationship in the begin of the third season

[edit]

Blaine and Finn's relationship in the begin of the third season was strained. It isn't mentioned in the story lines section, while it ran from the first episode to the eight, Hold On to Sixteen. Thoughts? — Robin (talk) 04:15, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's probably worth a sentence, though no more; there's a gap between "The First Time" and "Michael", and the fact that this was resolved for Sectionals (and the ND win) is worth mentioning. Blaine's lead-singer ways was also one reason why Santana defected to the Troubletones and took Brittany with her, if you want to work in that he wasn't exactly greeted with open arms by more than just Finn. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:06, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Great, a sentence should do. — Robin (talk) 18:35, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
