Typo in passport

[edit]

Is nobody else irritated by the fact that, judging from the picture in this article, the official 2008-an-on passports of Belgium have a bizarre typo on the cover page? Speaking of EUROPAÏSCHE. They surely brought out a new, corrected version by now, didn’t they? Anothername (talk) 07:18, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since I can find no trace of anyone complaining on any internet forums about the typo - and there would be, especially since language is a very touchy subject in Belgium - I'm assuming that the scan we use here was scanned off of a pre-issue new article or glossy government advertisement for the new passport cover, not off a passport actually issued. Visa-free travel

[edit]

I presume that the reason why Australia is listed as requiring a visa from Belgian passport holders is that you have to get an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA, or sometimes called "electronic visa") before travelling to Australia.

Since 12 January 2009, the United States requires a similar electronic pre-authorization of anyone travelling to the US on the Visa Waiver Program, which includes Belgian passport holders< (http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html)

I haven't got a clue how to change the map myself, but it probably should be done, because the terms for entering Australia and the United States as a tourist on a Belgian passport are now almost identical. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.30.192.135 (talk) 21:11, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
