- Beer-sheva → Beersheba -- Beer-sheva is now listed as the redirect page for Beersheba. Beer-sheva should be deleted because the proper, official and most popular (according to Google) spelling of the name of the city in Israel is Beer-Sheva and NOT Beer-sheva (not capitalized s) and also NOT Beersheba (no hyphen and second b instead of v). The article's current name (Beersheba) cannot be edited to the correct spelling (ie Beer-Sheva) without deleting Beer-sheva (which is the the badly spelt redirect) this is because of the identical spellings of Beer-sheva and Beer-Sheva. As I understand it the only solution is to delete Beer-sheva and then do the redirect. Ben Qish 05:55, 23 August 2005 (UTC)

- Plus to which, it's much better known as "Beersheba" in English anyway, so the article ought to stay at Beersheba. (And I simply don't understand the comment about name cannot be edited without deleting this bad, misspelt redirect, which is not correct. Noel (talk) 21:57, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
- It's not the most popular spelling in English. I got the following results, for pages in English:
- about 626,000 for "Beersheba"
- about 419,000 for "Beer-sheva"
- about 420,000 for "Beer-sheva"
