Notable?

[edit]

Isn't this just a Make a Wish which happened to attract more media attention than most? I struggle to see how it warrants more than a section on the Make a Wish Foundation main page, at most. 86.166.57.34 (talk) 19:56, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is the largest and most complex Make-a-Wish experiences out of nearly 200,000 of them. It was so large that it triggered its own waves of media attention worldwide. I think a sentence or two in the Make-A-Wish article would be appropriate but not sure a whole section there would be.Saltybone (talk) 20:51, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pic

[edit]

There seems to be a lot of pictures around of this event. Is it really necessary to show another person pretending to be Batman, when the real boy's picture can be used? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.16.8.23 (talk) 21:37, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'd prefer one of Batkid if you can find one! Saltybone (talk) 03:05, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Worth mentioning if not even have an article of its own.

Make-a-Wish "Background"?

[edit]

It's not necessary to give the history of the Make-a-Wish Foundation itself here; that's what the Make-a-Wish Foundation article is for. I'm taking it out.PacificBoy 02:55, 10 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Still learning - added Julia Rpberts note in top section

[edit]

...but feel sure I could have done a better job of adding it in. I did look for a reputable source with a good article (vs tiny blurb on imdb). Great fun to whomever can help put more detail in. Seems likely to merit asinsection below. Feedback appreciated. Would like to get better about editing when Ihave the chance and seeing my edits stick. Too many good faith edits reversed in the past :-( DrMel (talk) 02:32, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I moved it to the correct section. Otherwise it was fine. The lead (stuff above the TOC) introduces and summarizes the article. See WP:LEAD. I filled out the citation template for you, but the citation you did was fine for someone still learning. Sorry your past edits got reversed, keep plugging.
