T-Bone Walker credit?

[edit]

Earl Hines with Billy Eckstine on vocals had a #1 hit in 1942 with "Stormy Monday Blues." T-Bone Walker had a #5 hit in 1948 with "Call It Stormy Monday (But Tuesday Is Just as Bad)." The two are in fact different songs, but over the years, Walker's version has been referred to as "Stormy Monday" or even "Stormy Monday Blues." This has led to the two songs being confused with each other, even by record companies, music publishers, etc. (see the "Call It Stormy..." article). Someone with access to this album may want to check this further. If in fact it is the Walker song, the name "Stormy Monday BLUES" should be changed to avoid confusion with the original Hines/Eckstine song. Otherwise, is should be credited to Hines and Eckstine (and Bob Crowder). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ojorojo (talkcontribs) 05:25, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
