Q1: Why doesn't the article describe the territory as "Pakistan-occupied Kashmir"?
A1: For the same reasons that Jammu and Kashmir isn't described as "Indian-occupied Kashmir". Wikipedia follows usage in reliable sources and adheres to a neutral point of view. Q2: How about "Pakistani-administered Kashmir"?
A2: Pakistani-administered Kashmir is normally used as a cover term for Azad Kashmir + Gilgit-Baltistan. Q3: But is "Azad Kashmir" a neutral name?
A3: It's up to the article to describe that in detail. Regardless, an article's title should use the most common name, and that doesn't have to be neutral. |

Major difference of approach in writing[edit]
In the Arunachal Pradesh article a very specific line: "Arunachal Pradesh is claimed by China as part of the Tibet Autonomous Region"— is written in the header. Such a line shall also reasonably be written in this article's header due to similar nature of the circumstances behind the matter concerning this article but is not written. I think this needs to be looked at.

Flag[edit]
why isnt the state flag of Azad Kashmir in the infobox? the Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic Pages have the flags of the republics and Balochistan, Pakistan and Sindh also have their flags in their infoboxes. It therefore makes sense to include the flag from whatever POV you have. ManU9827 (talk) 20:52, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
- It is a consensus decision of WikiProjects India and Pakistan that we should avoid all symbols of sovereignty for all of Kashmir, which remains disputed. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 01:54, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
- why does Jammu and Kashmir (union territory) have its seal and motto in the infobox then? ManU9827 (talk) 05:51, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
- It has been removed now as it was added by a user beginning of this month and it didn't get checked. Imranqazi90 (talk) 06:17, 25 March 2024 (UTC)

Question[edit]
Do you guys know what Nar is, I'm making an article about it and I need a reliable source. Bally125 (talk) 18:31, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
Flag[edit]
The flag and coat of arms really should be added into infoboxes. Even if it is disputed, it doesn't change the fact that azad kashmir HAS a flag. Eehuiio (talk) 20:43, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
