The result of the move request was: Moved Based on the discussion here, and at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Greece, this requested move appears to be noncontroversial. Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 02:34, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

– For consistency with the parent article, Regional units of Greece (which was renamed from "Peripheral units of Greece" in August). Of the 74 articles in Category:Peripheral units of Greece (itself about to be renamed), 45 require disambiguation. Of those, 20 have been uncontroversially renamed since August and these are the remaining 25. I'm this to be uncontroversial, but I didn't want to move 25 articles without prior discussion, just in case. Jenks24 (talk) 22:46, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've just struck Larissa because it has just been moved by someone else. Jenks24 (talk) 23:43, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't see anyone else using either "peripheral unit" or "regional unit". It doesn't even sound like native-speaker English. How about "Arta region", "Chania region", etc? Kauffner (talk) 08:06, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • I should preface this by saying I'm not from Greece and I don't speak Greek. Anyway, this is my understanding: the official term in Greek is περιφερειακές ενότητες (and it's good to go with the official term for articles such as this), which correctly translates to "regional units" (and was originally incorrectly translated as "peripheral units"). I can see no reason why we shouldn't go with the translation of the official name. In addition, I don't think simply "region" would be a good solution because it could cause ambiguity with Modern regions of Greece, which appear to be commonly referred to as "regions".
