Fair use rationale for Image:Samarra.jpg[edit]

Image:Samarra.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

An "In Popular Culture" Section?[edit]

I came across this book after its title was used in the recent "supernatural" episode of the same name. I wonder if there are more bits and pieces like that floating around and if there are enough of them if they can be put into an in popular culture sub-heading. Obviously just that one thing isn't enough and I'm going to look for some more and would appreciate it if anyone knows any themselves if they would post them up here. cheers.Stripy tie (talk) 21:20, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The only other one I know of is this... I read in an online "Urban Dictionary" that the phrase, "stoney lonesome" appears somewhere in this book. This phrase, which refers to prison, sometimes pops up in episodes of Spongebob Squarepants. However, it is not clear whether the TV show got the phrase from this book, or if both the book and the show got it from somewhere else. And for that matter, you have the same problem with that Supernatural episode... they may well have gotten the title from the same place the author of this book did, rather than naming it for this book. 192.54.250.11 (talk) 17:51, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm wondering why this article has been rated "B". As far as I'm concerned, and according to the rating scheme, it is "Start", as there is not a single reference anywhere in the text. I'm going to change it now, but of course I'm prepared to discuss my decision. <KF> 23:11, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
