the horse's mouth

[edit]

I was concerned about the uncitable nature of some content in this article, some of which was my doing, so I took it on myself to write Fotheringham directly to check on a few things. I don't know if theis is fair game with BLP's but did it anyway; this was his response:

I have just had a quick look at the writeup. I did NOT take journalism at UBC. There was no journalism school. I studied English and Politcal Science.

I did not work for local papers. I worked for the Vancouver Sun right out of university.

My syndicated column ended in 2007 (due to illness)but during those years I also wrote for Fifty Plus, Readers Digest and Nuvo magazines. Am now writing occasionally for the Globe and Mail and the National Post as well as a magazine out of Calgary called The Roughneck. Am working on my memoirs which is due out 2009.

My website is www.drfoth.com. My biography will be updated in the New Year. It mmight be of some help.

The typos are his (not mine, as is usual) I don't have time to revise the article or research his site just now as I'm moving today but thought I'd drop this here before I had to shut my computer down...if anyone here wants to use drfoth.com to update htis page please do so, or I'll try to get back to it when I'm online again....I'm multi-ADD though so it may be later than sooner...Skookum1 (talk) 18:38, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because I was about to write him, I finally got to fixing the errors noted by Dr. Foth, though all the commentary in the article still needs citation (it's not worth deleting as it's all true, if enough people go looking for citations, they'll find them).142.68.82.172 (talk) 14:32, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
