By-election klaxon

[edit]

Paging Bondegezou, Unreal7, BrownHairedGirl, Comrade TruthTeller and any others you may want to flag down. Looks like there will be a by-election here in Airdrie and Shotts (see amongst others https://twitter.com/Ianblackford_MP/status/1372605943633022985 ) . I've created two redirects, there are not enough sources outside Twitter for me to justify a stand-alone article yet, but I think being forewarned is to be forearmed. doktorb wordsdeeds

That's premature, doktorb. There will be a by-election there only if the current MP wins a Holyrood seat in May.
Creating redirects now appears to be a non-neutral prediction of the outcome of the Holyrood election. WP:NOTCRYSTAL. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:23, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't think of it like that, I thought it was being helpful! I accept that view BHG. I will say, mind, that I've got a Wikipedia hat on, not a political one, so my intent was never to be partisan. If you'd rather the redirects be deleted I can do that of course. My idea came only to make us ready for any potential article, I wasn't trying to break CRYSTAL. doktorb wordsdeeds 20:33, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, @doktorb. I don't doubt that this was a good faith idea to help, and I am sorry that my AGF wasn't clear. Yes, I do think it's better to delete the redirects. THey can be re-created in seconds if and when a vacancy arises. WP:G7 applies. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 22:19, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Neil Gray has now said he's stepping down regardless,[1] as has Blackford.[2] Unreal7 (talk) 12:52, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Change of percentages

[edit]

Can the percentage bar for changes in percentages still be kept in please for the general elections where boundary have taken place. Removing them does not look neat or tidy please, thank you. Torres2000X (talk) 12:20, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
