First Fifa International game is incorrect in this article. Afghanistan played with Iran in August 25, 1941 in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. The requested addition also appears to contradict what's said in the "Early History" section, which says that the team was affiliated to FIFA since 1948. Respectfully, Mz7 (talk) 23:39, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Please remove semi protection because there are lots of facts I can't add because of semi protection Afgfifa04 (talk) 15:21, 4 May 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned references in Afghanistan national football team

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Afghanistan national football team's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Iran: Fixtures and Results":

  • From History of the Iran national football team: "Iran: Fixtures and Results". FIFA.com.
  • From Iran national football team: "Iran: Fixtures and Results". FIFA.com.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 05:24, 27 June 2021 (UTC)
