West End Games also published "Star Wars - Starfighter Battle Books," feating a TIE fighter and an X-Wing, based on the "Ace of Aces" game system.

First of its kind?[edit]

I could swear I remember watching friends in junior high school play a game like this around 1974. Was there a predecessor? Not R (talk) 17:25, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'd never seen anything like it before when it came out thought it was brilliant. Often my memory gets conflated, thinking i read a book in 6th grade when the book wasn't published until I was in 12th grade (when I actually read it). -- GreenC 16:23, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
