[edit]I cut this down significantly, to help accommodate the merge and get rid of a lot of things that aren't really encyclopedic. A lot of this page seemed spammy. If I cut anything out that's really essential to the article, go ahead and add it in again. Thanks! --UsaSatsui 20:26, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- I've re-introduced a few small pieces of the prior content, but as a whole I agree with the cleanup. Also moved some of the content around a bit, since the article is primarily about Abandonia, with Reloaded being bundled mostly on the virtue of being a spin-off project. Common features of both AB and AR are present in the introduction, followed by Abandonia's main entry and finally the sub-entry about AR. This maintains a degree of distinction between both, and should make it easier to split the article if Reloaded gains sufficient recognition per criteria in WP:WEB in the future. --The Fifth Horseman 07:31, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sure thing. I was just worried it looked an awful lot like a sales pitch. --UsaSatsui 15:17, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Anonymous edit from 24th July
[edit]In response to the OR posted by 66.90.28.145 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) on July 24th:
The site has recently gone through a falling out with most of it's main members because of what they perceive as bad management decisions and it's ownership by Studentis Group. And it has not been updated in a long time for unreleased reasons by management.
As one of the site admins, I feel an obligation to adress several gross misconceptions introduced by that editor.
- The site has not gone through a "falling out" with any of its main members. Frankly, I've got no idea where the author got that impression.
- Last update was on June 1st. This means the site has not been updated for two months. This might be one of the longest periods without new additions in several years, but by far not enough to call it "a long time".
- The site has not gone through a "falling out" with any of its main members. Frankly, I've got no idea where the author got that impression.
- Furthermore, this does not take into account things like unprotection of games already present on the site (a numbed of which happened in recent weeks)
- We have explained multiple times on the forums that the reasons for the halt in updates are off-limits to anyone outside the staff.

- All I can say at the time is that the site is undergoing technical difficulties. Going into the specifics would constitute a major security risk until the matter is resolved.
- We are doing what we can to solve the problem, but a lot hangs on receiving a response from the Studentis web team regarding certain inquiries related to the matter.

- That edit was extremely non-neutral, unsourceable, and opinionated anyways. No need to explain it, it only really calls more attention to disruption. --UsaSatsui (talk) 19:09, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Just to throw my two cents in on this one since I used to be incredibly active on abandonia. I don't see what is wrong with the statement. It has fallen out with a lot of the members because I am one of them. After going to studentis and screwing up the site a LOT of updaters and members left. To say that is just ignorant Fifth and you should know that. Also if it is supposed to be a secret about going into specifics it is a horribly kept secret. Punch999 (talk) 04:15, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Punch, you're note a lot of members. You are one member. You just admitted your claims was purely your own personal opinion. Thereby not adhering to WP:NPOV and WP:NOR.
- The cause for the halt in updates doesn't have anything to do with any staff members leaving. It's a technical matter, which the Studentis webteam fails to resolve despite our repeated inquiries.
- I had enough of your misbehavior on the forum already, and won't stand any attempts to get back at us by inserting what I perceive as defamation into the site's Wikipedia entry. --The Fifth Horseman (talk) 11:30, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- ...And the statement is completely opinion. If you had a source for it, like a newspaper or magazine, it'd be different. --UsaSatsui (talk) 16:11, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Wait I think someone misunderstood me. I am not the one who made the edit on the Wiki. And there are more people then me. Punch999 (talk) 16:58, 17 September 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.190.15.146 (talk)
- Punch, the facts are right here. Your most recent reply here was originally added using the same IP, before you logged in and replaced the message signature - it's all in the edit log. In fact, I have two other sources that confirm the IP adress as belonging to you.
- I'm not going to draw any consequences for your behavior, but I really would appreciate if you stop trying to play me (and others) for a fool.
- I find your allegation about updaters leaving to be at the very least curious, since I haven't heard of anything such happening. Mind telling me who it is that you think has left?
- --The Fifth Horseman (talk) 20:29, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
If you don't remember that a lot of people including me just pretty much stopped coming after that awful eye poison of a new design was implemented. And besides I couldn't care less anymore. And can we possibly talk in private. I am just incredibly curious what missbehavior I am guilty of.
I am done with this because I am not going to get sucked into internet drama. Punch999 (talk) 23:35, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
