Two different radios[edit]

  • The Photo in the specifications section shows an AN/PRC-117G, not a -117F radio. Is there a CC licensed photo of the -117F radio that can be used instead? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.99.128.100 (talk) 15:11, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • The specifications are mixed between the two radios. For example the "F" version of the radio is 30-512 MHz whereas the "G" version is 30-2000MHz. Yet there are many similarities between the two radios. This could be resolved with a table and rename the page to reflect both versions of the radio. Alternatively, there could be a separate page for each radio type.
I think moving the article to AN/PRC-117 would be best. Older models could be mentioned in a separate section. --agr (talk) 13:46, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • The 117F and 117G are completely different radio architectures despite the common numbering in their name. I suppose their specifications may have significant overlap, but there are definite differences in what advanced features the 117G supports compared to the 117F. The ones that catch my attention immediately are the completely different chassis and the fact that the 117G supports MUOS, SRW and SATURN. The 117F does not. They also use very different external amplifiers. 2604:6000:1011:27B:BD12:AC51:C7DB:F99 (talk) 16:34, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unit price[edit]

I don't know how to work it into the page neatly. According to http://www.benning.army.mil/infantry/rtb/content/PPT/commo%20equipment.ppt this device has a unit price around 30k USD. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MaHuJa (talkcontribs) 05:31, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
