Broadcast on ATIS

[edit]

The articles says that AIRMET is broadcast on ATIS at ATC facilities and also that AIRMETs cover weather phenomenon that may occur on an air route. By definition, ATIS is only available at an aerodrome. If AIRMET were only broadcast on ATIS as this article suggests, AIRMET would only be available at the start and end of an aircraft's flight and not in the middle, when it would be likely to most need the latest AIRMET information. AIRMET must be available by some other means, and it should probably be clarified in the article. --Spuzzdawg (talk) 08:00, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
