Motorway vs highway
[edit]To prevent any edit wars in the future, I just want to point out that although it is technically a highway, DARS officially calls Slovenian highways motorways in English. [1] edolen1 19:52, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Slovenika?
[edit]The motorway is also known by the nickname Slovenika, used primarily by the Slovenian media.
Can someone confirm this? As far as my experience goes, the Slovenian media refers to the motorway in terms of regions, e.g. as the "Primorska" and "Štajerska" motorways. --Kreden1 (talk) 17:55, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Name Slovenika is only very rarely heard in media. For A1 Štajerska (Maribor-Ljubljana) and Primorska avtocesta (Ljubljana-Koper) is used, for A2 it can also be Gorenjska (Jesenice-Ljubljana), but Dolenjka (Ljubljana-Obrežje; not Dolenjska as for others, meaning in that part of Slovenia) as Slovenian name for female inhabitant of Dolenjska. Therefore I'd say no to this nickname. Grozec (talk) 15:32, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
