Title

[edit]

There should be a comma ... after California and before office shooting. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 15:38, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved this. CharlieM1021 (talk) 16:08, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
1993 Aurora, Colorado shooting; 2012 Aurora, Colorado shooting; and Aurora, Illinois shooting would like a word. Love of Corey (talk) 19:37, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The comma after the state may be correct in a sentence, but not in a title. This has been discussed on talk pages of other articles about attacks in the US. Jim Michael (talk) 19:53, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mass shooting definition varies on Wikipedia

[edit]

The article says that it's the 22nd mass shooting in 2 weeks, but Wikipedia seems to use multiple definitions. Maybe saying "depending on the definition of mass shooting" would make the article more open in terms of interpretation. What do you think? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_shootings_in_the_United_States — Preceding unsigned comment added by Graylandertagger (talkcontribs)

Doesn't matter either way. It's not encyclopedic to note this is the 22nd mass shooting in two weeks or whatever. If this was the second mass shooting after hours or something along those lines, then perhaps. But this is too broad and non-notable. Love of Corey (talk) 19:44, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I can agree with the last comment, "22nd mass shooting" isn't notable and I realize that now. BUT this is DEFINITELY a mass shooting, which is literally defined as the killing of more than four individuals, however it is a loaded statement. CharlieM1021 (talk) 19:52, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
