Transclusion

[edit]

We should limit the transclusion in the main 2012 Summer Paralympics article to only the top ten - the same as was done in the Olympics list - otherwise this table will overwhelm the main article. Roger (talk) 18:05, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Doing. Courcelles 18:27, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And done, though note this increases the care that must be taken when updating the table, as even slightly wrong code will throw the main article off. Courcelles 18:31, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. We managed it a few weeks ago, so we should be able to handle it again. Roger (talk) 19:01, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wait!

[edit]

Please stop editing for a few minutes until I've fixed the ranking error. I'll post here when it's done. Roger (talk) 18:37, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody has been adding medals without updating the hidden event schedule - also not adding complete sets of gold, silver and bronze at a time - the totals are mismatched. We're going to have to rollback to the last known correct update - if we can identify it. Please help. Roger (talk) 18:55, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You can always use {{inuse}} and {{underconstruction}} to indicate you don't want people editing or to be careful in the second case. -- 76.65.128.252 (talk) 11:29, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Your comment is about two days late... this is an old, long since resolved issue. Roger (talk) 20:11, 2 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Number of athletes

[edit]

I think it would be useful to add a column for the number of athletes sent by the country, as that helps people understand where a small delegation has over-achieved. John Vandenberg (chat) 04:50, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Similar proposals have been made before and have always been rejected. The point of the medal table is only to sum the medals won, not imply that any nation has under/over achieved - Basement12 (T.C) 10:06, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First time medalists

[edit]

Any data on countries winning either their first gold or first ever medal at the Summer Paralympics? Thanks. Lugnuts And the horse 14:23, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cross-referencing the list of countries between this medal table and the overall one at All-time Paralympic Games medal table, it appears that the countries winning their first ever Paralympic medals are Chile, Ethiopia, Fiji, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan. Wesley Mouse 14:32, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
And Macedonia, Malaysia, Namibia, Romania, and Serbia; have won their first Paraltmpic golds too (but they have won silver/bronze in previous Paras). Wesley Mouse 14:39, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Malaysia still hasn't won a Paralympics gold. Nil Einne (talk) 13:50, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
