Hauberg, Haljak, Lagerqvist, and Fridh & Jonsson all identify silver coinage of Visby, Gotland as ortugs as early as 1320. Many similar coins of Visby back to the 1120s are now commonly referred to as ortugs in the literature, though this may be anachronistic.
