Gaelic is a category of language including lots more languages than just Irish and the only one of those languages that is correctly referred to as "Gaelic" is Scottish Gaelic which is a different language entirely. Please stop correcting this as mixing up two completely separate languages could be very confusing and mislead people in their research of either Irish/gaeilge ( the Irish language) or Scottish Gaelic (pronounc...) - diffhist Irish language 17:57 −155 194.46.232.242 talk (Irish is not Gaelic. Irish is not 'Irish Gaelic'. It's called Irish in English or Gaeilge in Irish. Those are the only two names for it. If you want to mention that lots of Americans confuse it with Scottish Gaelic (which is an entirely different language and you should make that very clear) then mention that but don't call it Gaelic because that's an entirely different language spoken in an entirely different country.)
