New page reviewer

User:Dr. Kadzi

Had a short break from Wikipedia due to new work, I have relevant experience at the AfC, discussions within AfD and various other administrative functions within the website. I was granted the right as a temporary basis (6 months I think?) that ran out at the tail end of last year, so I'd ideally like to continue it on from hereon out, now that I"m settled again in real life. Thank you!   Kadzi  (talk) 20:53, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for your contributions and your interest in this permission. While your prior review record looks ok, I'm concerned with your record in deletion processes. While AfD appears to be some honest mistakes that will likely improve in short order, I'm also noting a misuse of CSD A9 in some recent tags and several cases where you nominated an article for CSD or AfD when simply redirecting to a related topic would have been appropriate. Thus, I'm going to have to mark this as  Not done for now, but I would encourage you to apply again in the future. You may also benefit from enrolling in WP:NPPSCHOOL to work on these issues with a mentor. signed, Rosguill talk 19:51, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've created 13 articles, of which one was deleted (i wrote it a while ago, when I was just starting out and didn't understand the notability guidelines). I have moderate participation in AfDs, and a reasonably good track record there. I have a good understanding of the notability guidelines, and I'd like to be able to help clear the backlog!

Please note my automated AfD record contains an error– it seems to indicated I casted a "keep" vote at WP:Articles for deletion/Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy, which was deleted. I was the nominator of that article for deletion and did not withdraw or change my position from "delete". theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/them) 07:36, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done for 1 month as a trial run, after which you may reapply. signed, Rosguill talk 19:55, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'd like to help out with reviewing new pages. I have read and understand the reviewing guidelines, am comfortable with notability and deletion processes, and will carefully apply the flowchart to each page that I review if this request is approved. I was granted the rights for one month on a trial run basis by Rosguill which is going to expire on May 2. I used this trial run basically to get more experience and so far reviewed more than 70 articles. I was also being very aware not to make any blunder mistakes from my side. But unfortunately, I made a mistake unknowingly, which I rectified myself later. While I tagged some articles with relevant issues, mainly with its notability, it got automatically marked as reviewed. It took me some time to realise that I should have unticked that option, where if we tick it, the article will be patrolled automatically, if we are tagging it with possible issues. I believe this was the only mistake I made while using the rights. You can see the articles that I marked as reviewed which got deleted later are actually the ones, where this unfortunate mistake from my side happened. After I found it, it hasnt happened so far and I believe wont be happening again. And while granting me the rights on a trial run basis, a concern raised by the reviewer was my lack of experience dealing with CSD and PROD. I have also solved this issue. Please see my both logs here[1] and here[2]. So I hope I am now eligible for getting the rights permanently. Regards. Kichu🐘 Need any help? 08:03, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
