Removed the map that misleadingly suggests the demographic changes were exclusively due to the events of 1917-1920, when numerous events occurred in between (WWI, Armenian–Tatar massacres of 1905–1907, the Armeno-Tatar war). This is in line with the point made by KhndzorUtogh in Talk. The map is not a faithful reproduction. See Talk Tag: Visual edit

Her description of her father-in-law is not found in de Waal's cited source. His source is "Ter Minassian, Nationalism and Socialism in the Armenian Revolutionary Movement, page 195" but this page does not exist in the book (it's much shorter!) nor does the "fire and steel" quote appear if you search the book on Google books Tag: Visual edit

TO "...Nzhdeh, in taking control of Zangezur, drove "out the last of its Azerbaijani population"; This is going above and beyond what the original source says Tag: Visual edit

  • curprev 20:3620:36, 2 July 2023R.Lemkin talk contribs 24,485 bytes −1,463 removed table and certain mentions of 1897 statistics as it misleadingly suggests the changes in demographics from 1897 to 1926 was due to the massacres/deportations between 1917-1921; however, there are many events that occurred in between (Armenian–Tatar massacres of 1905–1907, the Armenian Genocide, WWI, etc). No source has specifically mentioned these demographic changes in the context of the topic of this article so it's OR to use those statistics to suggesthat causal inference here. Tag: Visual edit
