...Wikipedia has a very stringent image use policy?
...most images from Flickr, online news websites, and other web sources are copyrighted?
...Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously?
...freely-licensed images should be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, a central location for images where they can be used on all Wikipedia projects?
...we recommend that new users use our "files for upload" process - at least until you get the hang of things?

Hi there! First, wanted to say that I love the username and your userpage's dog pictures - I have a Border Collie mix of some sort named Oreo. I also wanted to let you know that I'm going to be undoing your recent additions of the category "Dog breed" to several pages (that's how I noticed you - I have Border Collie and Australian Shepherd on my watchlist). Your change isn't wrong, it's just that it's redundant to other categories on the same page - most or all have the category "Dog breeds originating in (country)," which is a subcategory of "Dog breeds," and we prefer not to have two categories on a page when one is a subcategory of the other. Oof, okay then. I don't use Wikipedia much anyway, due to strict policies (especially the image policy), but sorry about that.
