Dungeon Planner Set 2: Nightmare in Blackmarsh is an adventure for fantasy role-playing games published by Games Workshop in 1984.
Contents
Dungeon Planner Set 2: Nightmare in Blackmarsh is a campaign setting describing the village of Blackmarsh, with a map of the village in 25mm scale, and a map of the wilderness around Blackmarsh.[1]
Publication history
Dungeon Planner Set 2: Nightmare in Blackmarsh was published by Games Workshop in 1984 as a boxed set with a 24-page book, an outer folder, and two large color maps.[1]
Shannon Appelcline explained that Citadel Miniatures was working on Warhammer Fantasy Battle for Games Workshop, who was releasing more material outside of their magazines: "A reprint of their Dungeon Floor Plans (1982) — no longer sporting the D&D logo — was the first of several gaming supplements. Three more mapping sets plus two "dungeon planners" — which included both floor plans and AD&D adventures — followed it."[2]: 143
Reception
Doug Cowie reviewed Nightmare in Blackmarsh: Dungeon Planner 2 for White Dwarf #60, giving it an overall rating of 7 out of 10, and stated that "Dungeon Planner 2 is a much more useful product than DP1. Undoubtedly it would have made a lot more sense if it had been released first."[3]
