BlueCity in Rotterdam, is a former Center Parcs site where a collective of 30 small businesses is experimenting with a zero-waste circular economy. Also known as the Better Future Factory, they are reusing the derelict Tropicana swimming pool complex which housed pools, flumes and saunas under a vast glass dome. This was bought at public auction for €1.7 m in 2015.[1]
