Kevin Allen's wiki page
Hi Gareth
I noted that you rejected my changes to Kevin Allen's wiki page and I wanted to clarify some of the issues so that the entry was more accurate.
Firstly, I noticed that the reference to farming has been removed. Mr Allen was in fact a pig farmer - he had a herd number and ran a rare breed pork business. He was also one of the first Irish pig farmers to introduce the MANGALITZA breed to Ireland. Although not related to his career in film it adds to the background (he also run the Flat Lake Literary and Arts festival while farming and worked on "Benidorm" at this time - see below).
Mr Allen isn't really known for "Under Milk Wood" as the film is yet to be released to the wider public. Also, this film wasn't the Oscar selection, the Welsh version - DAN Y WENALLT - was. I would like to correct current information about this film on the page.
The reason that the 1990 project "On the March with Bobby's Army" was highlighted in my edits, is that this is one of the first video diary projects - a new film-making medium at the time.
"Twin Town" is probably the film that needs the most context as it was a cult hit that was financed by Hollywood studio Polygram International. The series "Benidorm" was made while Mr Allen was farming and came after "The Big Tease" and "Agent Cody Brown".
These are the main points I'd like to address in my edits. Could you let me know how you'd like to proceed? I'm new to wiki editing so keen to get some advice on next steps.
Best wishes

What happened to Dr. B? I blinked, and there he was, gone again. I emailed, but no response as yet. Tony. Tony Holkham (Talk) 21:43, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Tony,
I have just switched on my pc for the first time today, so sorry for my late reply.
I am guessing that this from Catlemur had caused his sudden departure, although I now see he has had a change of heart. Gareth Griffith‑Jones The Welsh Buzzard 17:22, 5 November 2018 (UTC)
