Kundara,  (Malayalam: കുണ്ടറ ), is a Census town in Kollam district of KeralaIndia. Kundara is situated 13 km east of Kollam and 14 km west of Kottarakkara. Kundara is a historical town which has got a significant place in Indian freedom struggle.[2] Kundara was once the Industrial hub of Southern Kerala with prominent industries like Kerala Electricals Limited, Aluminium , Aluminium Industry Limited of Kundara, Lakshmi Starch company etc operating from here. Most Industrial units became sick industries and got shut down. Kundara is aiming for a revival of industrial tradition through Technopark Kollam.
