The 2017 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters is the eighteenth season of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, since the series' resumption in 2000. Hankook extend their DTM tyre supplier role until 2019 as the South Korean tyre company announced on May 6, 2016. [1] On October 15, 2016 it was announced that the double DTM champion Timo Scheider to retire from DTM championship after 16 year tenure.[2]

Rule changes

  • On September 17, 2016, DTM announced that the DTM competitor size may be reduced by 18 competitors from 24 competitors.[3][4]
