Moore Middle School is one of three middle schools in the Redlands (California) Unified School District. Located at 1550 E. Highland Avenue, it opened in 1965 as Moore Junior High School, one of three satellite junior highs that replaced the former Redlands Junior High School in downtown Redlands on the north side of Citrus Avenue.

Designed as an earthquake resistant complex of single story buildings, located on the site of a former orange grove, the design included such then-popular ideas as open classrooms, in which folding interior walls for some wings could be pushed back to create much larger spaces, combining individual classrooms. The student enrollment included grades seven through nine. Beginning in 1968, overcrowding at Crafton Elementary School required that three sixth grade classes be relocated to a wing of classrooms on the Moore campus, thus forecasting the trend towards middle schools many years before it became standardized nationally.
