Nandanar is 1942 Indian Mythological and Devotional film was directed by Muruga Dossa and produced by S. S. Vasan under his production company Gemini Studios. The film Script written by Ki. Ra. Music by M. T. Parthasarathy and Rajeswara Rao assets to the movie. Starring M. M. Dandapani Desikar (his played titled role) and Serukalathur Sama played lead role and M. R. Swamynathan, Sundari Bai and other played portraying supporting role.[2] The Rs. 10,000/- prize scheme was announced, this was the first time such as scheme was introduced in South India and contributed to the box office success of the film. Nandanar was a major success.[2]
