"9/11 + The Neo-Con Agenda Symposium" a.k.a. "L.A. 9/11 Truth Conference", was a conference organized by Alex Jones to discuss the events surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. It was held June 24-25, 2006 in in Los Angeles - "the very center of America's primary media production area" - in order to "bring a great deal of publicity to the 9/11 Truth Movement and to show everyone in the country who has questions about 9/11 that they are not alone." [1]. Actor Charlie Sheen is attributed with the original idea for the conference [2]. Approximately 1,200 people attended the event from around the world [3].
Overview
The symposium included presentations, panel discussions, question and answer sessions, screenings of Alex Jones' films TerrorStorm and 9/11 Eyewitness, [4] and a preview of the film A Scanner Darkly with Tommy Pallotta. Presenters and attendees included:
- Alex Jones, radio host, social critic and filmmaker[2]
- Charlie Sheen, Golden Globe Award winning actor[2]
- Webster Tarpley, author[3]
- Tommy Pallotta, film director and producer[5]
- Robert M. Bowman, former Director of Advanced Space Programs Development for the U.S. Air Force[5]
- James Fetzer, professor at the University of Minnesota Duluth[5]
- Steven E. Jones, professor of physics at Brigham Young University[5]
- Dylan Avery, director of the documentary Loose Change[5]
- William Rodriguez, janitor at the North Tower of the World Trade Center[5]
- Jimmy Walter, venture capitalist and political activist
Ray McGovern, retired CIA officer turned political activist, was expected to attend [5], but he canceled at the last minute for what he described as a "personal reason". Phil Berg was not present either.
Notable presentations were made by Webster Tarpley, who argued that the attacks were an example of "state-sponsored, false-flag terrorism" designed by rogue CIA elements "to start the war of civilisations" and that Washington was "gripped by war psychosis" and had used terror as a pretext to turn the United States into a police state [3][6], and by James Fetzer who listed a "top ten" on why the 19 hijacker account is "fake", available at YouTube [7].

I Los Angeles hölls i helgen en kongress om konspirationsterorin om vad som egentligen hände den 11 September 2001. Förklaringarna till attentaten var spretiga, allt från myndigheterna inkompetens till att attentaten skett på USA:s initiativ för att utlösa ett världskrig eftersom USA:s vapentillverkare och oljebolag skulle tjäna en förmögenhet på dåden och att en ny världsordning under USA:s ledning skulle etableras.
