Crufts

Really pleased to see Jilly take the group again! Its got to be her year, especially with the retirement announcement as well. Miyagawa (talk) 21:14, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

yes, it's really great - Sara was struggling to watch and then in tears; I have a pic and was trying to upload it to commons but it doesn't seem to want to play with me using my iPad. Keep your fingers crossed for her and I'll upload the pic when I get home at the weekend. I've also got a pic of the group winning Skye Terrier and will try to get Utility and Toy tomorrow as well. SagaciousPhil - Chat 21:33, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
finally managed to upload it - look on commons for Jillycrufts2013.jpg SagaciousPhil - Chat 22:14, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Have now uploaded pics of utility and toy group winners but now heading home so won't be able to get Gundog, Working or Pastoral winners - let's hope nothing goes awry and Jilly hits the top spot! SagaciousPhil - Chat 09:22, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Amazing result! Miyagawa (talk) 20:00, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, really ace - she is beautiful and such a character. By the way, her registered name is spelt with a capital A (Soletrader Peek A Boo) and owners are Sara Robertson and Wendy Docherty. Sara's husband Gavin is the handler (he runs over four miles a day with her!). Can you change the details on the List of Crufts BIS winners? SagaciousPhil - Chat 20:16, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Someone managed to do it before I got there. I'll start working up the article (if it hasn't been created by then) after work tomorrow. Miyagawa (talk) 21:06, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fanny Murray

Thanks for your comments at Template:Did you know nominations/Fanny Murray! You're right about the ISBN - it looks like the Google Books page I took it from was broken. I've replaced it. Smurrayinchester 11:10, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Great article - I thoroughly enjoyed going through it - please quickly change publication year for the new ISBN! Have you tried using the citation tool for Google Books (see user box on my user page) - it makes book citations really easy; I have to acknowledge I pinched it from someone else (Thank you, Yunshui! ) and find it so useful. SagaciousPhil - Chat 11:22, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fairfield, Stogursey

Thanks for the review of Fairfield, Stogursey. Well spotted over the spelling of Russel/Russell. I've checked the book this came from & it should be Russel - so I've changed the article.— Rod talk 11:39, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Great - thank you! SagaciousPhil - Chat 11:41, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm absolutely speechless and believe me, that doesn't happen often! I don't know what to say, except 'Thank you' - you have just made a truly horrendous day become bright.......now I'll have to go and find a box of tissues because I think I'm going to cry (in the nicest way possible). Thank you so much. SagaciousPhil - Chat 16:58, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm going into 'celebrity at the Oscars' mode now - wow, thank you, thank you - but I couldn't have done anything without the help and support that I've had from so many people (especially Yunshui, he's been a brilliant mentor and provides a shoulder to cry on when needed). I really cannot believe this....... SagaciousPhil - Chat 17:05, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
