Arakaka is a community in the Barima-Waini region of Guyana, located at 7°34′60″N 60°1′0″W / 7.58333°N 60.01667°W / 7.58333; -60.01667 Coordinates: latitude seconds >= 60
{{#coordinates:}}: invalid latitude, at an altitude of 63 metres (209 feet) is the centre of the gold-bearing district. Arakaka is 12 miles south of Port Kaituma and is on the Barima River.

Its population varies according to the amount of mineral extraction in the region. Launches used to ascend the river regularly to Arakaka, where a mining warden was stationed.

The area features gold lateritic - saprolitic deposits.
