The general consensus of opinion by historians reveals that John the 3rd Lord Dudley was born in 1494, at Dudley Castle, Worcestershire.
He inherited a city residence at Tothill Street in Westminsterfrom his father Edward. He died in 1553, in Middlesex but was buried (18th September) at St. Margaret's, Westminster.
He had married on the 30th of October, 1501, to Cicely de Grey, and had issue, being:
