Colgando En Tus Manos is a latin pop song written, produced and performed by venezuelan pop singer-songwriter Carlos Baute and featuring spanish singer Marta Sánchez released on November 1, 2008, as the first single off his seventh studio album, De Mi Puño Y Letra (2008). The original version of the song (sang only by Baute) belonged to the official release of the album, and the official single version (including vocals from Sanchez) to the re-edition released six months after.

Release and Chart Performance

The original version of the song were never released intead of the second, including Marta Sanchez, being available to download trough iTunes since November 2008. The song received inmediately airplay mainly on Spain, where it began the year 2009 at #1 and staying at the top by a total 29 weeks, setting the record for the most weeks at #1 in Spain, and also being certified 9x Platinum (by selling up 700.000 copies) in that country.

In Latinamerica, the song grew slowly airplay at first, being heavily rotated after to beat Shakira's "Loba" as the most played radio song fo the year, and also being the most succesfull spanish song of 2009[1]. The song topped the charts in most latin countries such Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia and Puerto Rico among others.
