Al-Mustadrak alaa al-Sahihain or Mustadrak al-Hakim is a ten volum hadith collection writen by Hakim al-Nishaburi, the leading hadith scholar of his time.

He wrote it in the year 393H, i.e. when he was 72 years old and claimed all hadith in it where authentic according to the conditions of either Sahih Bukhari or Sahih Muslim. It contained 9045 hadith (1).

However, his statment was not accepted by later scholars. Al-Dhahabi in his Talkhis al-Mustadrak made a abridge version of the collection where he commented on its claimed authenticity.

Ibn Hajar begins by stating that the Mawdu'at al-Kubra is as unreliable in its declaring the grade of "forged" as al-Hakim's Mustadrak is unreliable in its declaring the grade of "sound."
