Hi Telecineguy, and let me echo the welcome to Wikipedia! I notice you've made a lot of edits to television and videotape-related articles, and I just thought I should mention WP:JARGON (ie, just remember Wikipedia is for a general audience) and WP:CAPS (Wikipedia capitalization), though by the looks of your most recent edits, you might have read these already!

As someone who obviously knows something about the tech side of things, I'd be interested on your take on two articles I started, An Evening with Fred Astaire and The Edsel Show, if you can add anything to them. If, for example, you know anything about the technical issues regarding 405-line television (and BBC One, which contains the early history of the BBC Television Service), please add it. Of course, there are lots of other articles - just follow the links or check the categories at the bottom to find those that are related.

Welding Shipyards

Thank you for subject article. I have just one suggestion. Are you quite certain the five-inch gun mounted on these tankers was the 5"/25? The 5-inch/38-caliber gun was much more widely used on defensively equipped merchant ships. Thewellman (talk) 21:27, 12 June 2022 (UTC)

Fleet tugs

I saw what you did with the List of auxiliaries of the United States Navy § Fleet Ocean Tugs (ATF, T-ATF) and was inspired by it. I thought that this 'see also' link belonged better with the earlier List of auxiliaries of the United States Navy § Fleet Tugs (AT) section, so I extensively revised it and added multiple V type boat wlinks, one for each class. Net laying ship

I saw your changes to this article, and I made the following enhancements:

1) I increased the size of the lead image to make it more attractive

2) I consolidated the 2 references to Miller's War Plan Orange into 1. Question: where does Miller reference gate craft? As far as I can see there is only one location the book where nets are mentioned at all. I suspect that we both have the ebook version which does not have page numbers.

Also you don't have a page number for the first citation you added, the one from Friedman. Can you add it?

Suggest moving draft articles to preserve history

Hi Telecineguy! Thank you for getting Weston Havens House up in mainspace. Looks like you did a copy-paste of the content from Draft:Weston Havens House to create the new article, which is alright, but it's more efficient to "move" the article from draft to mainspace (File:Moving an English Wikipedia article from Draft to Mainspace.pdf), because that preserves the article history, creates the redirect, and redirects the talk page, all in one fell swoop. Hi Telecineguy! I noticed that you recently marked a number of edits as minor that were not minor. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information.

I also noticed that you added some sources that fall short of the reliable source guidelines. I've removed several of them. If you'd like to find better citations and add them to the article, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. More specifically, user generated content such as forum posts, photographs on photograph sharing sites, etc. are not sources that should be used in articles. See WP:RSSELF and WP:UGC for more information. Please don't remove the {{Unreliable sources}} template from the article until there's talk page consensus on removing it. • Thank you for the feedback on minor edits.
• There was no note on the talk page about, reliable sources. The tags in the page there now for reliable sources was not there when I remove the tag. I have redirected an article you created

Hi Telecineguy: I've turned Chris Wade (real estate broker), an article you created in 2007, into a redirect to Bill Clinton pardon controversy. See my edit summary for the rationale. Before doing so, I added him to the list of people pardoned by Clinton on his last day in office, using a reference from the article plus a news article. (I made a search to assess notability and found that there were articles in several major news sources from the day he pled guilty, none of which we were using, but otherwise nothing; I couldn't even substantiate the article's statement that he was sentenced to 15 years.)
