Lisa Cano Burkhead (born 1970 or 1971) is an American educator and politician, serving as the 36th Lieutenant Governor of Nevada since 2021.[2] ​She was nominated by Governor Steve Sisolak to replace Kate Marshall in December 2021.[3] Prior to serving a Lieutenant Governor, Burkhead was a teacher and principal in Clark County, Nevada schools.[3]

Personal life

Burkhead was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada.[1] Her father was a blackjack dealer from Argentina and her mother was from Paraguay.[2] She worked as an educator since 1996.[1]
