Page mover

User:SS49

I am requesting this flag to perform Round-robin page moves. I am familiar with the page moving guidelines so I won't misuse this right. Thanks. ~SS49~ {talk} 15:15, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • SS49 is topic banned from clerking AfD per this ANI discussion. As suppressing redirects is technically a deletion, the granting admin should be aware of this restriction. – bradv🍁 05:47, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Done I'm a little concerned about the topic ban, and I suppose more conservative admins would view that as a "behavioral block" per the requirements, but other than the tban I'm not seeing anything that's completely disqualifying (and almost no reverted moves). 2-month temporary assignment in deference to the tban. I've recently become more active in patrolling new pages, and this would allow me to suppress redirects when draftifying pages (see my draftify log). I also frequently patrol other namespaces for misplaced drafts - see my move log, which features a number of such cross-namespace moves (generally from template to draft). Finally, I'm an active closer at CfD (see Wikipedia talk:Categories for discussion/Working#Backlog halved, but still big), and being able to move categories would make simple renames easier (I would of course manually move the pages in them too). Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 02:57, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Done demonstrated need and not likely to misuse. @DannyS712: Please remember that this is effectively a deletion, so always use with care. --RexxS (talk) 14:30, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@RexxS: just so you know, there are a series of templates for informing users that you have granted them the rights they requested, along with the relevant warnings. --DannyS712 (talk) 21:08, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, DannyS712. In the spirit of DTTR, I prefer personal messages, but I'll keep those in mind if I'm pushed for time. Cheers --RexxS (talk) 01:51, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@RexxS: no problem, I was just waiting for a "you have new messages" with the full rules and everything... thanks for everything, --DannyS712 (talk) 01:52, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to have the page mover right for uncontroversial category page renames. Been editing Wikipedia for over ten years and haven't misused renaming a page. Erick (talk) 01:58, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
