Rod A. Martin is Professor of Psychology at the University of Western Ontario specializing in Clinical Psychology. His research focuses on the nature and functions of Humor and Laughter, as well as their relationship to psychological health and well-being. He holds a B.A, M.A and Ph.D from the University of Waterloo.[1]

Professor Martin is a prominent researcher in the field of humor research and is often cited for his multi-dimensional concept of humor. His latest publication "The Psychology of Humor: An Integrative Approach" was published by Academic Press and is the only textbook on the subject.
