Canada Day

This article says nothing about his role in the renaming of Dominion Day as Canada Day. IMHO this was his most significant accomplishment as an MP. A quotation from Michael Valpy of the Globe and Mail would be a major improvement to this article.Rdmoore6 (talk) 18:36, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

– These titles exhibit WP:OVERPRECISION. They contain an unnecessary degree of disambiguation by including the identification of the country in which the person held the identified role. See the somewhat-related recent discussion for Talk:Joseph Brennan (senator)#Requested move 8 August 2023.   The article does not refer to him as a senator, and the article about the New South Wales Legislative Council does not refer to the institution as a senate and does not refer to the members of the council as senators. Comment there's something wrong with the Talk:Joseph Brennan (senator)#Requested move 8 August 2023 discussion, it says all the other topics are Irish, which is wrong, a U.S. state senator John O'Neill (congressman) is not an Irish topic, John O'Neill (Irish senator) shouldn't have been moved. -- 67.70.25.175 (talk) 04:53, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
