New page reviewer

I was invited to apply for this permission a few days ago. After reviewing the entire tutorial, I feel that I understand the approach and policies for reviewing new pages and could help with the existing backlog. ~TPW 18:08, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

True Pagan Warrior, can you clarify whether you intend to eventually publish User:True Pagan Warrior/The Wild Hunt in mainspace and whether you have a conflict of interest with the subject? signed, Rosguill talk 23:43, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
At the time I was drafting that I did have a conflict, but I left the organization in 2018. When I drafted it, I had the intention to tag it for that conflict of interest, if and when it was ready to be moved out of my user space. I was just thinking about that draft yesterday, actually; I don't think it would pass muster at this time because the site itself hasn't been given significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. ~TPW 14:11, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I'm satisfied enough with that answer to give you a trial run of 1 month. I'd recommend, however, that you remove the link to that article from its currently-prominent position on your user page. signed, Rosguill talk 14:38, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Done.
I may not accomplish many reviews in the next month, depending on how quickly I complete the NPP training school, but I think the extra time will improve my quality of work.
Thank you. ~TPW 14:51, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Applying in response to an invitation at User_talk:Mdewman6#Invitation; I can certainly help with the redirect backlog, and will wade into review of articles to the extent I feel comfortable doing so. Mdewman6 (talk) 00:19, 29 July 2023 (UTC) Mdewman6 (talk) 00:19, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have experience in WP:CSD and WP:AFD and am willing to help out in reviewing new pages. Lightoil (talk) 07:47, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Upon receiving invite and reviewing tutorial, I feel like I can help with the new page backlog. I have interacted with many types of pages and have developed a few of my own. I have regularly found information that made me feel like there were some simple recommendations that could be made to the editor on the pages and have wondered about how pages are reviewed. I have used maintenance tags and am familiar with most of them from WikiProject cleanup or WikiProject Unreferenced articles. I also enjoy helping with orphaned articles. Reapplying because I'm back from Wikibreak. Thanks. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 23:17, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, I have arrived here through an invitation. I took some time to carefully consider applying for this opportunity right after receiving the invitation, as I wished to familiarize myself with the guidelines and pertinent matters concerning New Pages Patrol. Having thoroughly reviewed the guidelines, I believe that I am able to contribute in this field of Wikipedia. Thanks. –MinisterOfReligion (Talk) 13:03, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I received a message on my talk page here from Zippybonzo inviting me to become a new page patroller. I have read over some of the tutorial and plan to study the flowchart more closely. I feel that I can help review new pages well, as I have experience with AfD, CSD, and some with PROD (although a bit less). I am obviously auto-patrolled, and I have a lot of experience creating articles, with hundreds as seen here. Paul Vaurie (talk) 23:35, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Responding to an invitation I received on my talk page by Zippybonzo a couple of weeks ago. I have carefully reviewed the guidelines and would be delighted to help out with the redirect backlog, and possibly with the article backlog as well. CycloneYoris talk! 22:11, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have always had an interest in new pages patrolling, although always without a formal role (including back before it required a permission). Recently I've also taken an interest in improving articles at risk for deletion or that are incomplete on the new pages field, as well as processing Wikipedia backlogs when I don't feel up to the work of writing prose. I've seen the backlog for new pages reviews, and want to help reduce it. I also have some experience with the Wikipedia guidelines and the AfD/CSD/PROD processes, and have studied the New Pages Patrol tutorial. AlexandraAVX (talk) 13:47, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
