Rollback

User:Bayu Fuller

Please allow me to be granted rollback rights. I’m an extended confirmed user in Wikipidea ,unregistered IP users in the articles that I’m working on are committing vandalism. Bayu Fuller (talk) 07:02, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: @Bayu Fuller: You have very insufficient anti-vandalism works, you only used the "Undo" once, which can help you revert vandalism to the pages you edit. Advanced permission (like rollback) will not help you, especially since we have a patrolling WP:Twinkle gadget, which you can enable in your user preference, which is very helpful in reverting edits to pages. —Ctrlwiki (talk) 12:39, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Rollback is not for protecting articles that you are working on, you either patrol recent changes and revert vandalism or you do not, at this moment, you really don’t need rollback, either us WP:RW or WP:TW to patrol recent changes and then, after a month or two, you may be ready for the rollback right. Reason for requesting rollback rights:
My request was declined a few weeks ago due to insufficient experience. I understand if this is too soon, however I have about twice the amount of mainspace edits. (previous request: 53 in mainspace ; this time: 105) Rusty4321 talk contributions log 18:55, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Automated comment This user has had 1 request for rollback declined in the past 90 days ([1]) and has 111 edits in the mainspace. MusikBot talk 20:30, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Rusty4321 You still are not ready for the user right, I would recommend spending a few weeks using twinkle to patrol recent changes, 50 edits in main space will not make a difference to the requests, this is still too soon. Zippybonzo (talk) 20:35, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've been patrolling recent changes for quite a while now, and about 4/5 of my 550ish edits are reverting vandalism or warning users. Becoming a rollbacker would greatly help my RCPing, and allow me to use Huggle. Sure, my current tool, Twinkle, is cool, but Huggle seems even more handy, by sorting edits in recent changes by vandalism probability, and allowing to specify what edit was problematic when warning a user. Reverts look okay, but I noticed you're not always notifying editors when you revert their edits (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4). Could you please comment on that? -FASTILY 04:58, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The first time was because there was no "user editing to make a point" template in Twinkle. But I could've said something like "Please don't edit to illustrate a point", so you have a bit of a point there.
I just forgot the other three times. Everyone does that, were human. InterstateFive (talk) - just another roadgeek 23:00, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for confirming. Admins use warnings to track/block disruptive users, so it's very important to leave them for every revert you make.  Done -FASTILY 05:01, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
