Page mover

I feel that I need the page mover right to get around redirects when moving userspace drafts and regular drafts to the mainspace. These often are unable to be done using standard move procedures and would require a round-robin move in order to complete. NoahTalk 19:54, 6 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
{{not done}}, not really seeing a huge need for this. Despite claims of not being able to move over redirects, I'm not seeing any RM/TR, G6, or other attempts to make these types of moves without the perm. Primefac (talk) 20:20, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Primefac: I usually either ask someone who has the right on their talk page, IRC, or Discord to move drafts from my userspace to the mainspace or if it is an active storm I either ask or wait for someone else to do it. Requesting a G6 or going through requested moves is far too slow for the active storms that are threatening land. I used to copy and paste my drafts directly from my userspace to the mainspace, which I know now was the wrong thing to do. I would like to be able to help other people in the same boat as it is a frequent issue, especially when writing articles for past storms. In fact, I have two right now that need to be done: Hurricane Enrique (2021) and Hurricane Nora (2021) (one of which also involves a normal page merging of two drafts). I'll think about it. Primefac (talk) 13:07, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Primefac: Hello, I am just wondering about the status of the request. The two drafts above that I mentioned still need moved, and I also see multiple ones within the weather project that qualify as stubs and thus should go to the mainspace before they get deleted. I don't want those to be lost, especially considering I have seen some that are quite extensive. I would continue to use the right to move my drafts and other users' drafts to the mainspace as needed. There are usually quite a few during the year that require page mover to get around redirects, including three officially submitted ones for active storms thus far this month.  Done, apologies for toe-stepping here Primefac! Going to keep a close eye on this editor and help where needed - WP:WPTC is a busy place! ~TNT (she/they • talk) 21:06, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wikipedia Administrator, On July 11, I had granted this rights as a temporary basis which is expired tonight. I request to make it permanent as i believe that I had done correct use of this rights in this 2 months trial period. Thank you ! Fade258 (talk) 13:04, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fade258, why did you suppress the creation of a redirect for the move of Template:Dambulla Viiking and Template:UBX/Dambulla Viiking? (please do not ping on reply) Primefac (talk) 20:24, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I suppressed it beacuse the main article/team name was changed. So, I didn't think that there is any use of leaving redirect. Thank you ! Fade258 (talk) 23:50, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
