Rollback

User:Rng0286

I have been waiting a long time to request this permission, since I have made 300+ mainspace edits and 500+ edits in total now. Also, I’m extended confirmed as well. (verify) I hope I get the rollback permission! Rng0286 (talk) conts D'oh! 06:20, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:ManaliJain

I would like to request for rollback permission, as it would help me revert bad faith edits or vandalism in a click and keep a check of revisions on the recently changed pages, differences, user's contribution pages and the watchlist page. I may promise to use the rollbacker right (if granted) with complete good faith and responsibility towards Wikipedia. ManaliJain (talk) 08:17, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But that was earlier, now I have 550+ mainspace edits and 700+ edits in total. I request you to kindly check it once and consider my permission request, thank you. ManaliJain (talk) 09:11, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-Rollbacker comment) ManaliJain I don't see from your contributions that you counter vandalism. First learn to identify and revert vandalism using tools like WP:TWINKLE. -- Parnaval (talk) 10:36, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Parnaval: I would really suggest you to go back and check it again in all of my contributions that whether I counter vandals/vandalisim or not. I have made pretty much efforts in doing so and I have learnt to identify and revert them, so your this comment under my request section goes vain. ManaliJain (talk) 12:13, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
ManaliJain I said only after checking contributions. Of all of your undo edits only one is reverting vandalism. Also On seeing last 100 edits all of them are removing existing good content -- Parnaval (talk) 15:20, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am myself rollbacker and I Completely agree with Parnaval. ManaliJain doesn't have much contribution in counter vandalism. She is only busy in removing content. You should first get familiar with Twinkle and Redwarn tools and then ask for rollback right.Princepratap1234 (talk) 15:32, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Parnaval: @Princepratap1234: I am not removing existing good content alright, I am removing the information from those articles which shouldn't be here on Wikipedia and I'm doing it under Wikipedia's guidelines only and they are completely good faith ones. You guys cannot deny the fact that whatever I'm removing is non-notable and you cannot say that I'm removing good content, because unsourced or un-notable content shouldn't be on Wikipedia!
And regarding the rollback right, I asked for the right, so I will get the permission from the respective administrator; positive or negative- I'll accept it pleasingly. But I would rather appreciate if you'll don't pass your partially inapt comments for me or my contributions and let the corresponding administrator do his/her work precisely.  Not done yet; please have a look at WP:CVUA, try Twinkle and slowly build up the required "measurable track record of counter-vandalism" (see the notice at the top of this page). ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:29, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I want to be able to help out more whenever I have free time. I take Wikipedia as like a volunteer work and want to be able to do more for the community. With the rollback rights I feel I am able to do more against constant IPs that commit vandalism and I have done similar work within a wiki affiliated site for a fansite within a game where I am a moderator for the wiki site. Ihatethisname (talk) 04:14, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: @Ihatethisname: Please allow me to comment on this request, as I'm a rollbacker myself. I've checked your contributions and couldn't really find any signs of anti-vandal work. Why don't you start with patrolling recent changes with tools like, for example, WP:RTRC or sign up to WP:CVU? Best, Tymon.r Do you have any questions? 00:17, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: @Tymon.r: Let me explain what I meant by doing similar work on a affiliated site. So the site uses a wiki model so we have everything wikipedia has just about the fansite that I am apart of. If you want to check the site out its sadly not listed under List of wikis but it's habboxwiki.com Ihatethisname (talk) 06:03, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:DrVogel

This would be useful to have because when reverting non-single-edit vandalism it makes it easier to do a neater job that is also more transparent to other editors. Thank you. Dr. Vogel (talk) 19:03, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: @DrVogel: Hey, please allow me to comment on this request, as I'm a rollbacker myself. I've check your contributions and can't find the "measurable track record of counter-vandalism work" which is required for rollback permission. Why don't you start patrolling recent changes with tools like WP:RTRC or sign up for training at WP:CVU? BTW – if you want to revert "non-single-edit vandalism", you don't have to do that manually. You can simply compare two revisions from the page history and use the "Undo" feature :) You will need to provide some edit summary then, but that is what is more transparent to other editors. Best, Tymon.r Do you have any questions? 00:23, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done: The list of undos is okay. However: DrVogel, please keep the concern voiced above in mind. Especially, please have a look at WP:UWARN and Twinkle. Twinkle's bold blue "rollback" link is preferable over MediaWiki's classic rollback for all cases that require an explanation in the edit summary. WP:ROLLBACKUSE describes the only exceptions. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:03, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:Bethesda

Greetings respected Wikipedia Administrators. I hope everyone is having the best time of there life by the grace of god. I am Bethesda and i am here to request the Rollback rights on English Wikipedia because i have been dealing with Vandalism and disruptive edits made by usually IP addresses and It would be my Honor to use the Rollback feature to deal with Vandalism i currently using Twinkle to assist during my work. I have gone through WP:RBK , H:RV and have made my self familiar with the responsibility and what to do and what not to do. I hope to grant access to this right. I know I don't have that many edits but I think I am ready. Thanks 07:58, 7 August 2021 (UTC)

User:Sakura emad

hello, i request this right to participate against Vandalism and help to Protect Wikipedia's Article's Quality. —— 🌸 Sakura emad 💖 (talk) 10:19, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - Your recent contributions show a lot of participation in recent changes patrolling, and you're doing an excellent job! However, I'd like to see you have a longer established history of reverting vandalism and warning users before I grant this user right - at least a month's worth of experience at a minimum. Another big part of patrolling for vandalism and reverting disruption is that you should be reporting repeat offenders that have received numerous warnings to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism ("AIV" for short) so that they can be blocked. You have not reported any repeat offenders to AIV yet. You're definitely doing well, and so long as you keep doing what you're doing and grow your experience with reverting vandalism, there's no doubt that you'll have this tool granted in a month from now. If you haven't enabled Twinkle yet, I highly recommend that you go to the instruction page here and turn it on. It'll make reverting vandalism, warning users, and reporting users to AIV a very simple and automated process. :-) Keep up the great work, keep patrolling and reverting vandalism, and let's chat about granting you the user right in about a month from today. How does that sound? :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:59, 13 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have over 1000 edits and am extended confirmed I mainly revert good faith edits and check for vandalism. If granted the right I promise to use it well and properly. RossButsy (talk) 12:36, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm seeking this permission to allow me to speed up the removal of vandalism on articles. I found like I had to press revert about 4 times or more. I currently have 228 Main space edits and 403 Global Edits. If I can be accepted would be much appreciated. Akim Ernest (talk) 20:10, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:Sirdog9002

I would like to request the rollback permission so that I may more effectively combat vandalism using more sophisticated tools such as Wikipedia:SWViewer. I've been registered since September 2020 though I have had some wiki breaks during that time, with my latest one being in April of this year to returning active on the 9th of this month. I've just recently achieved extended confirmed status and have both been fighting vandalism, reviewing edit requests, and dipping my toe into participating in discussions as of late. As a matter of full disclosure, I was reported by an IP user to WP:AVI per [3]. They did so out of format and so I adjusted it to be a proper request for the user per [4], as I did not wish to make a judgment on a report made against myself and simply remove it. This was rejected by administrator Daniel Case as not vandalism per [5]. I find this notable to disclose as the issue the IP user had was in relation to me acting in a counter-vandal capacity. Cheers! ––Sirdog9002 (talk) 23:50, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
