The result of the move request was: partially moved:
– people are searching primarily for the fighter. 800 views daily vs the cricketer who gets 200 views daily and I am thinking the ones searching Corey Anderson lands on the cricketer's page by default. If there is a hat note link to the cricketer, I do not believe many people will click it. I am requesting this move because most people are looking for the fighter, who is now a relevant figure in MMA. Marty2Hotty (talk) 15:51, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support 1st, Neutral 2nd. By page views, the cricketer isn't the primary topic. However, primary topic swaps are often messy, and it's hard to get a good sense of if there's a 100% clear primary sometimes. The safest bet would be to create a disambiguation page at the basename of "Corey Anderson". Paintspot Infez (talk) 23:23, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt anyone is looking for the cricketer. I think we should change it to the fighter first at this time. If the cricketer gets more views (which I doubt), then a DAB is possible, in my opinion. Marty2Hotty (talk) 12:48, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
He was a reasonably well known cricketer with an international career who played in a number of franchise tournaments across the world, there's also been some speculation he could continue his career in America. For now I think a DAB is suitable, but if the fighter's career continues to grow as he has more major fights then it can be discussed again in the future. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 13:22, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If there are only two people, I don't think a disambguation page is necessary as it still results in the same number of clicks, except it requires one more click for people looking for the other person. I prefer to just make the fighter the primary. If more people of the same name come about, a DAG may be appropriate then. Marty2Hotty (talk) 04:49, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
"I doubt anyone is looking for the cricketer"- I doubt this is true, as he's an international level cricketer. Don't cast aspersions based on the fact you may not have heard of them. Until this RM, I had never heard of the other Corey Anderson. And WP:TWODABS is perfectly acceptable if there's no clear primary topic. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:29, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support -As per primary topic - see page view here. Cassiopeia(talk) 23:48, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support 1st, Neutral 2nd, I'd also prefer a DAB at basename for now.--Ortizesp (talk) 02:22, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support 1st, Neutral 2nd per others. Corey Anderson should probably become a DAB at this stage. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 09:28, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support 1st, Oppose 2nd seems like a case of WP:TWODABS to me. Whether people are looking for the cricketer or the fighter will depend a lot on which country they're in, and we shouldn't presume to know which one they want as there's not a clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC (and page views aren't the be all and end all). Joseph2302 (talk) 08:27, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support 1st, Oppose 2nd. Not clear the latter is the primary topic. Depends on your interests. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:21, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
