There are several Wyandot peoples who speak it as well as other linguists studying this specific language. To claim he is the only speaker diminishes the important revitalization efforts being done in the modern dispersed Nations and makes this seem like the language belongs to him or that Steckley is the only authority on this, which is just not true.
